So often in the work of speaking for the planet, we gather in resistance. This festival is an opportunity to gather in celebration - to enjoy and appreciate the land and each other who work so hard to protect it. This family friendly festival, taking place on unceded Coast Salish Territory of the Xʷməθkwəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), and Səl̓ílwətaʔ (Tsleil-Waututh) nations, will include a 9-foot floating lantern based on the design of Roy Henry Vickers, a rap battle roasting Harper, live painting, food trucks, and hands-on art installations.
I'll be sharing the mic with Giraffe Aftermath, Viper Central, Sandy Scofield, Monica Lee Band , Ta’Kaiya Blaney, and MANIK & Bearodactyl. Bring your own plates, waterbottles, and silverware from home, and leave the beach better than you found it. If you ride to the event The Bicycle Valet will be ready to park your bike for free.
